#BRGiving – The Novelty in celebration of special days

The Giving Story:

BR Giving is all about celebrating special occasions or otherwise with society or community. We all know that sharing gives us pleasure and happiness. By giving back to society, you always get peace of mind and a sense of accomplishment.

The Pokal family celebrated their father, Shri. Ramesh Pokal’s birthday by choosing to giving to the community. The BR family wishes Shri. Ramesh Pokal a very happy birthday. We wish you stay healthy and happy.

The family members used this opportunity as a bonding experience. They shopped for all the ingredients, cut the vegetables, prepared other ingredients, cooked the sumptuous meal. Then they took the fresh hot meal to the shelter and served the residents with their dinner. The dinner was complete with right portion of carbs, proteins, vegetables and fresh fruits as desserts.

Dinner menu was:

• Brown rice with cilantro
• Chickpeas gravy
• Sauteed green vegetables
• Fresh green salad
• Fruits – Apples, Oranges, Bananas

The family felt very touchy and had a very fulfilling experience of a lifetime. They felt good about themselves, felt calm and peaceful.

The daughter, Jalpa said, “Growing up my father always said giving back is our responsibility. Serving should be part of our life. When I came to this country I struggled so much as every one of us does. I worked 18 hours a day. I know what struggle looks like. But in struggling life, I met some very good people who helped me along the way. Now I am established very well by God’s grace. I consider this to be part of my life and I feel so…. Good for myself. And “in all first choose to be Kind” is the motto of my life and I tried to practice it, with all my conscious .”
